RGV’s Veerappan and Radhika Apte’s Phobia get a disastrous start

The Day 1 box-office collections of Ram Gopal Varma’s Veerappan and Pawan Kirpalani’s Phobia are here and they are dismal.

While Veerappan is marching ahead with Rs 48 lakh in Mumbai, the Radhika Apte-starrer garnered only Rs 7.5 lakh.

Here are the overall figures for you:

Veerappan is a representation of how the infamous dacoit was killed. More than being a biopic it's based on the real life instances as to what led to that army operation being a huge success.

Phobia on the other hand is about a girl who has a condition of serious agoraphobia. She cannot go out of her house, and at the same time there is something or someone who enters the house without her consent. Therefore she stars experiencing things inside the house which don't allow her to reside peacefully indoors as well. It is this predicament that frames the borderline of the movie.
